Yellamma is one of the most intriguing upcoming projects in Telugu cinema, especially after several notable actors were reportedly considered for it. Eventually, acclaimed music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) was finalised as the male lead. However, the hunt for the female lead is still underway.

Earlier, names like Sai Pallavi and Mrunal Thakur were linked to the project. Now, the latest buzz suggests that Premalu fame Mamitha Baiju is being considered for the crucial role. It remains to be seen whether the makers will lock her in or continue the search.

The film will be directed by Venu Yeldandi and produced by Dil Raju. Apart from playing the lead role, DSP will also compose the music. The makers are currently busy with pre-production and are expected to take the film on floors soon.
