During the Hindi promotions of Dacoit, Adivi Sesh was asked how he felt when Baaghi 2, headlined by Tiger Shroff, outgrossed its original, Kshanam, by a huge margin at the box office.

Adivi Sesh said, “I will explain it with an example. If you take the Kohinoor diamond and try to sell it at a railway station for Rs. 25 lakhs by wrapping it in a newspaper, people will not buy it, thinking it’s fake. If you sell the same diamond in a Tanishq showroom with a price tag of Rs. 200 crores or even Rs. 2000 crores, people will still be ready to buy it.”

He added, “The diamond didn’t change, but the platform did. I truly believe Kshanam is a diamond, and when it found a national platform, its value increased significantly. Sajid Nadiadwala sir gave that platform to my idea. Since then, I realized the value of the platform. I am trying the same with Dacoit.”
