Megastar Chiranjeevi is the founder member of the Movie Artiste’s Association (MAA). He has been part of MAA’s disciplinary committee since 2019. But if the latest reports are anything to go by, Chiru has tendered his resignation from the committee. However, an official confirmation regarding this news is awaited.

Following the irreconcilable differences within the association, the MAA disciplinary committee had split into two in 2019. While one committee is headed by stars like Krishamraju, Chiranjeevi, Murali Mohan, Mohan Babu and Jayasudha, the other committee is headed by senior character artiste Naresh. Chiru’s resignation is in connection with the upcoming elections in MAA.

The highly-anticipated spy thriller in the combination of young hero Akhil Akkineni and stylish entertainers specialist Surender Reddy was launched yesterday. The makers unveiled a special glimpse poster this morning as a surprise for fans. The film has been titled Agent.

Agent’s first look showcases Akhil in a striking makeover. He sports a thick beard and long, messy hair and looks rugged and stylish. As the title explains, Akhil plays a secret agent in the movie. The film is being produced jointly by top producer Anil Sunkara in association with Surender Reddy. Thaman is the film’s music composer. Agent is slated to open in cinemas on December 24.

The makers of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush recently revealed that rising hero Sunny Singh has been roped in to play Laxman’s role in this epic retelling of Ramayana. Sunny has already begun shooting for his part in this highly-anticipated pan-India mythological magnum opus.

In a latest interview, Sunny Singh opened up about his preparation for Laxman’s role in Adipurush. He said that he watched Ramayan in his childhood, but he only concentrated on the story and not the characters. But after signing Adipurush, he again watched the entire series and particularly noticed Laxman’s body language and mannerisms.

Sunny Singh also revealed that he is currently undertaking archery lessons since his character needs to exhibit archery skills in the movie. Being directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is slated for release on August 11, 2022.
