Dhurandhar 2 Review

Box office juggernaut Dhurandhar: The Revenge, headlined by Ranveer Singh, has unlocked a new milestone. The film has now scripted history emerging as the all-time highest-grossing Indian film in North America, overtaking the long-standing record held by Baahubali 2.

Not just in terms of collections, Dhurandhar: The Revenge now also holds the record in terms of highest footfalls for any Indian film in this territory. Dhurandhar Part 1 was almost came near Baahubali 2’s record earlier, but it eventually fell short by a whisker.

Nevertheless, Dhurandhar 2 now holds the crown and is inarguably the much-deserving film to occupy the top spot. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is still going great guns in North America, and it remains to be seen what kind of benchmark it sets for upcoming Pan-India biggies.

Adivi Sesh, known for his strong script choices and consistent success, is gearing up to entertain audiences with the romantic action thriller Dacoit. The movie also starring Mrunal Thakur is set to hit theatres on April 10. The film’s early promos and its first single Rubaroo introduced Sesh as a rugged, emotionally scarred character.

Now, the second single Chicchubuddi flips that perception, revealing a strikingly different side to both the character and Sesh. The song injects a burst of energy into the narrative, presenting Adivi Sesh in a lively, never-seen-before dancing avatar. Music composer Bheems Ceciroleo, who earlier delivered a soulful track, switches gears with a pulsating, folk-infused party number packed with vibrant beats.

Lyricist Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar complements it with playful, cheeky lines that enhance the song’s spirited vibe. Singer Jonita Gandhi brings infectious energy to the track while also lighting up the screen with her glamorous presence. Meanwhile, Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh makes a special appearance, adding a strong mass appeal to the number.

Mounted on a grand scale with colorful visuals and dynamic choreography, the song plays out like a festive spectacle. This shift suggests that Dacoit goes beyond a conventional action drama, blending emotions like love, betrayal, and anger with unexpected celebratory elements.

The film is backed by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang, with Annapurna Studios presenting it. Dacoit also marks the directorial debut of Shaniel Deo. Gyaani is providing the background score.
