Actress Mrunal Thakur was last seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Dacoit. Riding high on a successful phase in her career with multiple promising projects in hand, the actress has now found herself in the headlines for a reason unrelated to films. Mrunal strongly reacted after allegedly morphed images of her surfaced on social media.
What happened is… An entertainment page on X shared a few allegedly morphed photos of the actress in a derogatory manner, prompting a sharp response from Mrunal Thakur. She demanded the immediate removal of the alleged deepfake content, calling it “unauthorized and unlawful” while warning that any further circulation would invite legal action and formal complaints.
The issue isn’t limited to Mrunal alone, as several actresses have previously fallen victim to similar AI-generated or morphed content online. However, with the actress openly condemning the act, the growing misuse of such content has once again come under the spotlight.
Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna and several other actresses had also spoken out against similar online abuse. Interestingly, despite Mrunal’s response, the controversial images remain online, and it remains to be seen whether any action will be taken against those responsible.
On the work front, Mrunal has several exciting projects in the pipeline and is also rumoured to be part of Allu Arjun’s Raaka. More details about her upcoming releases are expected to be revealed in due course.
