Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra was a historic milestone in Indian cinema following its release. Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and directed by Dominic Arun, the film is now back in the headlines.

Aha has announced that the Telugu dubbed version will premiere on its platform. However, there’s a catch. The release is limited to overseas viewers and will not be available in India. The premiere is scheduled for August 7, 2026.

The film became the first Malayalam film, and the first Malayalam superhero film, to cross the Rs. 300 crore mark worldwide. Beyond this milestone, Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra emerged as the highest-grossing female-led South Indian film in history.

It also set impressive box office records by crossing Rs. 100 crore worldwide in just seven days and Rs. 200 crore within 13 days of its release. The film was produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his production banner, Wayfarer Films.

Not many know that South Indian star Trisha once worked on an ambitious film titled Rambha Urvashi Menaka (RUM), which never saw the light of day. The project was directed by MS Raju, whose latest film Agadha is set to release on August 14, 2026. Interestingly, it would have marked his fourth collaboration with Trisha.

In a recent interview, MS Raju revisited the long-forgotten project and revealed why it remained unfinished despite the team completing a major shooting schedule in Muscat in 2013.

According to the filmmaker, producer ‘Gemini’ Kiran went through a personal tragedy during production, which brought the project to a halt. After discussions, the team decided to shelve the film, and it was never revived.

Apart from Trisha, the film also featured Charmme Kaur, Eesha Chawla, and Nikesha Patel in key roles. Recalling the project, MS Raju said it was an experimental film with action elements, and the entire team was excited about its unique concept.

As the years passed, Rambha Urvashi Menaka quietly faded from public memory. With MS Raju now sharing the story behind its fate, fans have once again been reminded of a promising project that never reached the big screen. Whether the director and Trisha will collaborate again in the future remains to be seen.
