Maatrubhumi

Maatrubhumi

The uncertainty around the release date of Salman Khan’s new film Maatrubhumi continues. The movie, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, was initially titled Battle of Galwan but was later renamed Maatrubhumi. The film is based on the 2020 conflict between India and China in the Galwan Valley.

Since relations between the two countries have now improved, the Ministry of Defence reportedly had reservations about the film’s content, due to which the makers carried out reshoots by adding romantic scenes and a backstory. The latest report in Bollywood Hungama suggests that the film may not have any mention of ‘China.’

Since the core storyline itself is centered around the India–China clash, netizens and fans are apprehensive about the final output. They are worried about how omitting China will do justice to the narrative. The changing political scenario might affect the Salman starrer, going by recent developments.

Dacoit

Dacoit

Dacoit has opened to a decent response, but one aspect that has clearly disappointed fans is the role of Anurag Kashyap. The acclaimed director made his Telugu acting debut with this film, playing a cop, which had initially created good buzz.

However, many viewers feel that his character was not designed effectively. There are hardly any standout moments, gripping dialogues, or thrilling scenes involving him.

Fans believe that Anurag, known for his intense storytelling and screen presence, had very little to contribute in this role. Social media is filled with such comments.

Expectations were quite high from his debut, but the underwhelming character arc has left audiences wanting more, making it one of the missed opportunities in the film.

Love Insurance Kompany

Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) has opened to a disappointing response, especially in the Telugu market where the film carried very low buzz right from the start.

The film was stuck in production for a long time, and that delay seems to have affected its overall hype and anticipation. From day one, the response has been underwhelming, and the word of mouth has not helped either.

Reports suggest that even in Tamil, the reviews have largely been negative, further impacting its prospects. Adding to its troubles is the strong performance of Dacoit, which is dominating the box office and pulling audiences away.

The occupancy is also quite low in Telugu states. With stiff competition and poor reception, things are looking quite difficult for Pradeep Ranganathan’s film. Stay tuned for more.
