Aamir Khan’s last outing as an actor, Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, hit theatres on June 20, 2025, and received positive reviews. The sports comedy drama also features Genelia Deshmukh in a key role.

The film has now made its OTT debut, with Sony LIV beginning to stream it from today. Interestingly, the movie is available not just in Hindi, but also in Telugu and Tamil. Prior to this, it was released on YouTube under a pay per view model.

Sitaare Zameen Par is based on the acclaimed 2018 Spanish sports drama Champions. The film is jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with music composed by the celebrated trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Stay tuned for more OTT updates.

Mrithyunjay-Movie

Actor Sree Vishnu had a packed phase with back to back releases this year. His romantic comedy Vishnu Vinyasam released on February 27, 2026, followed closely by the crime action thriller Mrithyunjay, which arrived in theatres on March 6, 2026.

Directed by Hussain Sha Kiran, Mrithyunjay has now made its way to OTT. Netflix is streaming the film in Telugu along with Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, expanding its reach beyond regional audiences.

The film opened to a mixed response in theatres, and the focus has now shifted to its digital run, where it is expected to find better acceptance among a wider audience.

Alongside Sree Vishnu, the film features Reba Monica John, Sudharshan, Racha Ravi, Ayyappa Sharma, and Baby Uha in key roles. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati under Light Box Media and Picture Perfect Entertainment, with music composed by Kaala Bhairava.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar makes her debut as a director with S Saraswathi, in which she also plays the lead role. The film, earlier titled Saraswathi, released in theatres on March 6, 2026, and received a mediocre response.

Following its theatrical run, the film has now made its way to Amazon Prime Video. It is currently available only in Telugu, with the possibility of more language versions being added later.

Alongside Varalaxmi, the film features Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Kishore, Rao Ramesh, Jiiva, Murali Sharma and Radikaa Sarathkumar in key roles. The project is backed by Pooja Sarathkumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, with music composed by S. Thaman. With its OTT arrival, it remains to be seen how the film resonates with viewers this time.
