Hero Sharwanand is on an all-time career high with some very interesting films in his kitty. On the eve of Mahanubhavudu’s release, we caught up with him for an exclusive interview. Here is the transcript.
How is the film going to be?
The film is based on the story of a person who has OCD. How he faces problems because of it and how his love life gets affected is the whole story of the film about.
How different is the film from Bhale Bhale Magadivoy?
As that film was a concept based film too, people are drawing comparisons. But this film is a completely different subject and has a unique concept altogether.
Are you also a cleanliness freak in real life?
Laughs! No. Not at all. I am clean but not to the extent of my character in the film.
Tell us about the music of the film?
The music has caught on quite well all over and Thaman has given some fabulous songs which will be yet another highlight in the film. Maruthi has also shot these songs quite well in some beautiful locations which will look very good on screen.
Aren’t you taking a risk of releasing the film during competition?
No! not at all. Our film is a complete family entertainer and does not have any serious issues. As it is the festive season, we feel that all the films will run according to their merit.
How confident are you about the film’s success?
Mahanubhavudu will be one of the best films in my career. I had a great time shooting for the film which is a bit different from the routine entertainers which are coming these days.
What is your take on Maruthi’s capabilities?
Maruthi is a fabulous director. Making the audience laugh throughout the film is no joke. Directors like EVV and Jandhlaya were great talents and Maruthi belongs to that same league as well.
Looks like you are giving a tough fight to Nani?
Nani is a great actor and we both are doing some good films. There is a healthy competition and we as actors are trying to outdo each other with every film.
Finally, sum up Mahanubhavudu for us?
This is a film which can be watched by the entire family during this festive season.
