Interview : Allu Arjun- I feel comfortable and enjoy Trivikram’s company

Stylish Star Allu Arjun and ace director Trivikram’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is all set to hit screens on January 12th. On this occasion, we had a brief chat with Bunny. Here is the transcript.

Q) How did the project take off?

A) After Naa Peru Surya, I took a gap and was listening to various scripts. In the process, Trivikram came with this storyline and I liked the idea very much. Our director took time and prepared the full script before going ahead with the shoot.

Q) What aspects of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo impressed you the most?

A) As everyone knows, this is my third film with Trivikram. After doing a fun film like Julayi and an emotional drama like S/O Satyamurthy, we both decided to work on a light-hearted film on our next collaboration. Moreover, from the past few years, I was doing mass and serious films. So, to break the pattern, I did this film which will have an equal amount of entertainment and emotions.

Q) How was it working with Trivikram for the third time?

A) Like our previous films, I enjoyed working with him on this film too. We both share a good rapport and I feel comfortable in his presence. Moreover, I learned a lot while interacting with him and I’m looking forward to working with him again and again.

Q) Why is the film titled Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo?

A) Since most of the film runs in a house named Vaikunthapurram and the characters in the house playing vital roles, the film’s title was locked as Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

Q) Your take on the gap after NPS?

A) Yes, I almost took one and a half year gap after NPS and during the course of time, I learned a few new things. But I should thank my fans for patiently waiting for my next film and being a pillar of support throughout. I promise them that I will never let them down and will keep entertaining through my films.

Q) About your character in the film?

A) I’m playing a normal middle-class guy. I will always be seen fighting with my father, portrayed by Murli Sharma. The connection between my family and Vaikunthapurram house is the main plotline.

Q) About the Sankranthi competition?

A) The competition between the biggies during the Sankranthi season has been there since a long time. Most importantly, the season can accommodate three to four films. So competition is no big deal. I wholeheartedly wish all the Sankranthi films on their release.

Q) Tell us about the response to the film’s songs?

A) I, Trivikram and Thaman sat and discussed the kind of songs our film should have, and Thaman came up with Samajavaragamana tune, which is now a chartbuster. After that, Ramuloo Ramulaa, Butta Bomma and OMG Daddy also became huge hits.

Q) About your next projects?

A) Currently, Sukumar’s film is going on and I will reveal about my other projects later.
