Interview : Nani – I feel lucky for not having a film background

Natural star Nani is in top gear with back to back hits. His latest flick, Nenu Local, is gearing up for a grand release on February 3rd. On this occasion, we had a small chat session with him. Here are the excerpts:

Q) Nenu Local sounds like a mass title. Is the film a mass entertainer?

A) It’s not a mass entertainer but a cute Telugu love story. My character’s name is Babu. He has a bundle of attitude in him and falls for a girl. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Q) Any specific reason for keeping the movie’s title as Nenu local?

A) Pre-climax scenes will justify the title and you have to watch the film and say whether it is an apt title or not.

Q)Tell us about your working experience with producer Dil Raju?

A) It was a good experience working with Dil Raju. We both tried to work earlier, but it didn’t work out somehow. I am happy that we both have finally joined hands for Nenu Local.

Q) Tell us about your director Trinadh Rao?

A) Trinadh Rao is a director with good commercial sense. He has clarity on every aspect of the movie. Writer Prasanna Kumar’s dialogues are going to be one of the major highlights of the movie.

Q) You are working with DSP for the first time. Tell us about him?

A) Devi likes my movies and I love his music. Finally, we both came together with Nenu Local. I’m happy that all the songs are getting positive feedback from music lovers and the entire credit should be given to DSP.

Q) You reached great heights without any film background. How do you feel about it?

A) I feel lucky for not having a film background. The audience shows pure love on me seeing my acting and not my background.

Q) Tell us about your next projects?

A) Currently, I am working on a movie with DVV Danayya. Siva Nirvanand is making his directional debut with this movie. We will be flying to the USA this week to can a major schedule of this movie.
