Hearty congrats on your journey from Tollywood to Bollywood. How has the transition been?

Thank you so much. Transitioning to Bollywood has been quite a ride. Working with someone like Ranbir Kapoor in Animal has been a learning experience. He is down-to-earth despite being a star.

Your first film was a love story. Can you share insights about Animal?

Animal, indeed is a love story between a father and son. It’s a family drama exploring the emotions tied to the lengths one goes for a family, depicting a poignant narrative.

The trailer suggests that there will be strong emotions, too. Will the movie lean towards emotions or violence?

Animal strikes a balance between emotions and violence. The equilibrium will be maintained throughout the film, providing an immersive experience.

As Animal is over three hours, will it be unconventional?

Animal is a family drama with layers, portraying a different kind of story. Arjun Reddy might be considered unconventional for its time. Animal follows a more traditional format, utilizing the three-hour runtime to convey intricate family details.

What made you name the film Animal? You also edited Animal. What prompted you to do that?

The title reflects the hero’s instinctive behavior, which will be akin to animals. I enjoy editing because it is a challenging job. My films hold personal meaning, and editing allows me to convey that emotion.
