The runtime of Dhurandhar 2 has become a major talking point, with the film’s runtime being four-hours in runtime. Addressing the ongoing discussions, director Aditya Dhara shared his perspective on why the film turned out to be so lengthy.
He revealed that he found it difficult to trim the footage during the final edit, as every scene felt essential to the narrative. “I was quite clueless about what to cut,” he admitted, adding that even moments lasting just ten seconds were originally shot for nearly two minutes.
The director emphasized that he chose to retain those extended portions to preserve the rawness and authenticity of the storytelling. According to him, the intent was to keep the film as real and immersive as possible, even if it meant a longer runtime.
Fans are not having any issues with the runtime while watching a film with such a long runtime and are hailing Aditya’s work and his craftsmanship.
