After Burripalem, Mahesh Babu to adopt a Telangana village

There is no bigger achievement for an actor than reinventing himself as a human being through his films. Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently experiencing this rare phenomenon. His latest blockbuster family entertainer Srimanthudu has been a catalyst for this change in Mahesh Babu, admitted by the actor himself.

Last night, Mahesh took to Twitter and revealed that the inspiration behind his decision to adopt his native village Burripalem was nothing but the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s brainchild, the ‘Smart Village’ initiative. The actor then surprised everyone as he announced that he will also adopt a village in the economically backward district of Mahabubnagar, upon the state’s Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister KTR’s suggestion.

Recently, KTR, after watching Srimanthudu, appreciated the film for reiterating the importance of individual social responsibility and rural development. Last night, he personally called Mahesh Babu and congratulated him for Srimanthudu and suggested him to adopt a village in Mahabubnagar and the Superstar readily obliged.

Keep watching this space for more updates regarding Mahesh’s village adoption plans.
