The theatrical rights of Shah Rukh Khan’s King have been acquired by Pen Studios for a monstrous price of Rs. 250 crores, one of the biggest-ever deals in Hindi cinema. The studio has now bagged the all-India theatrical rights of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War.

According to an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, it is a commission-based deal, with Pen Marudhar paying a hefty advance to the makers. The movie is slated for release during the Republic Day week on January 21, 2027.

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal play the lead roles, and the team recently launched their first-look posters. Supriya Pathak will be seen in a pivotal role. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights.
