For the last couple of days, there has been a worrying speculation that stalwart actor-director duo Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s Indian 2 is shelved. The reason being speculated behind the abrupt end of this much-awaited sequel is that Lyca Productions was not ready to shell out the massive budget demanded by Shankar.
However, Lyca Productions’ spokesperson has informed a Kollywood media house that there is no truth to the speculations and that Indian 2 is very much on. Already, the makers have wrapped up two small but crucial schedules in Chennai. Currently, a giant set is being erected at a studio in Chennai for the next schedule.
Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine in Indian 2 (Bharatheeyudu 2 in Telugu). A leading Bollywood star will be playing the main antagonist’s role in the film. Anirudh Ravichander is the film’s music composer. Stay tuned for more updates on this crazy project.
