Action King Arjun’s latest release, Blast, is doing the unthinkable at the box office. The film, which also stars Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles, has gone from strength to strength with each passing day.
In its opening weekend, the movie earned a superb Rs. 25 crore gross worldwide, a phenomenal start for a small-budget film. Surprisingly, the movie is doing well in Telugu too despite negligible promotions. In Kerala, the film is showing a stupendous trend, while the collections in Tamil Nadu are superb.
Monday’s bookings also look very strong, with the film selling over 5K tickets per hour. Blast (Blast Zone in Telugu) has proven that all it takes is simple and engaging content to bring audiences to theatres. Debutant Subash Raj helmed this flick.
