Karthi has teamed up with Mad fame Kalyan Shankar for a Telugu film, which was launched recently. Meenakshi Chaudhary has been roped in as the female lead, and the shoot is currently underway in Hyderabad.

According to the latest buzz, Mirai director Karthik Ghattameni, who also directed Eagle, is handling the cinematography for this project. For the uninitiated, Karthik is a cinematographer-turned-director.

Star producer Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments is bankrolling the film. After Oopiri, Karthi is acting in a straight Telugu film once again, and the project has already generated good expectations among audiences.
