The latest Bollywood heist comedy-drama Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, emerged as a commercial success at the ticket windows. The movie, directed by Rajesh Krishnan of Loot Case fame, raked in over Rs. 85 crores nett in India, and at the global box office, Crew earned Rs. 150 crores.
A few days ago, we reported that this multistarrer will make its OTT debut on May 24. The same has now been confirmed by Netflix, which holds the post-theatrical streaming rights of this madcap entertainer. Crew is based on the life of Vijay Mallya, a famous business tycoon and owner of Kingfisher Airlines.
The gap between theatrical and OTT release is 8 weeks. Singer Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, and Rajesh Sharma essayed supporting roles. Anil Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor produced the film jointly. Those who missed watching Crew in theatres can catch it on Netflix from tomorrow.
