Dhurandhar: The Revenge stormed into theatres, creating box office mayhem. The much-awaited spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar has turned out to be a massive force, with its scale and reception exceeding expectations.
Amid this success, a section of the Telugu audience has raised concerns. Known for embracing films beyond language barriers, viewers in the Telugu states were eager for the dubbed version, which released two days after the original. The film opened to packed houses, reflecting strong demand.
However, many who watched the Telugu version have expressed disappointment with Ranveer Singh’s dubbing. Several viewers took to social media, stating that the voice did not match expectations. Some also pointed out inconsistencies, noting that the character seemed to have varying voice tones within the same film. Comparisons with the first part have further amplified the criticism, with audiences feeling that the dubbing quality has fallen short this time.
Considering the film’s scale, star cast, and budget, audiences believe greater care should have been taken to ensure a more refined dubbing experience. At this point, changes to the theatrical version are unlikely. However, viewers are urging the makers to address these issues at least for the OTT release, expected in May 2026 on JioHotstar.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 continues its strong box office run. It is reported to have become the fastest film to cross the Rs. 500 crore mark worldwide, achieving the feat within just three days. There is also speculation that Jio Studios will officially announce the numbers today, which will provide clarity on its opening weekend performance and the records it has set.
