The upcoming Telugu film Epic is based on the character Aditya from the much-loved Telugu series #90’s. The movie, directed by Aditya Haasan, features Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles.
Ahead of its release on September 11, the makers have now launched the theatrical trailer, and it looks impressive with a good mix of youthful and family elements. Aditya aims to become a director, and he moves to London to pursue his dream.
As he navigates his life in the UK, Aditya falls for a girl, and their relationship goes through multiple ups and downs, also hinting at the emotional depth in the film. The chemistry between the lead pair is good and it is the biggest positive aspect of the trailer. The protagonist’s friend suggests that he avoid sex as it makes him emotionally vulnerable and less dominant in the relationship.
It remains to be seen how Aditya Haasan has handled the adult themes while keeping the film family-friendly. Anand Deverakonda is neat as Aditya, while Vaishnavi leaves her mark.
Also featuring Shivaji and Vasuki in key roles, the movie is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Hesham Abdul Wahab is composing the music.
