Acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has finally addressed the long-standing question about why he never teamed up again with Kareena Kapoor Khan after their blockbuster Jab We Met.

The 2007 romantic drama remains a cult favorite, with Kareena’s portrayal of Geet still celebrated by fans. In a recent interaction, Imtiaz revealed that he admitted that he never found a script compelling enough.

“I tried, but I never got that kind of role, one that I should offer her, or that she should accept. It never happened,” he said. His honest response makes it clear that the absence of the right story kept this iconic pair from reuniting.
