Ashish of Rowdy Boys fame is currently working on a film titled Dethadi, which highlights Hyderabad’s culture. The film is being directed by debutant Aditya Rao Gangasani and is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Today, the makers unveiled the film’s first glimpse, and it looks quite interesting. Ashish plays Ghannu Bhai, a dhol player without whom no festival or celebration in Hyderabad is complete. While the protagonist is sincere towards his profession, he is equally aggressive. Ashish looks impressive in the promo, promising a good performance, and is seen speaking in Hyderabadi slang.
Music is composed by Junaid Kumar, while popular writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada is handling the screenplay and dialogues for Dethadi. The film is currently under production.
