Irumudi, headlined by Ravi Teja, is one of the biggest blockbusters of Telugu cinema. The movie, directed by Shiva Nirvana, touched the hearts of the audience, but one question/doubt that is on everyone’s mind is why the film doesn’t feature any police.
In a recent interview, Shiva Nirvana explained, “Initially, when Sai Kumar garu’s daughter asks him to file a complaint about the eve-teasers, he rejects it, saying that it will be known to everyone. Through this, you should understand that I know clearly about cops. I was clear that I didn’t want the audience to go through the investigative side. I wanted them to travel along with the characters. Including cops would have diverted the viewers’ minds.”
He added, “MLA is the reason behind all the deaths. Whether he managed the police department and framed killings as suicides or not happens during that lapse. I deliberately decided not to go ahead with the police procedural. I was very clear on what should happen in the auditorium and left out the cop angle.”
