The domestic bookings for Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 are opening up slowly. The full-fledged advances will commence by tomorrow, while overseas advance bookings began a few days ago.

However, the trend is surprising, as the much-anticipated sequel is trailing behind Rajini’s own Coolie. At the same point in time, five days before release, Coolie had fetched $3.78 million in advance bookings, whereas Jailer 2 currently stands at $1.62 million.

Given the sequel factor, the rights have been sold at massive prices everywhere, and it remains to be seen whether the film can get a big push in momentum in the coming days. Directed by Nelson, the movie is backed by Sun Pictures.
