Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest outing, Jailer 2, took off to a strong start at the box office. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, opened to positive reviews from critics.

After collecting Rs. 4.1 crores share on day 1 in the Nizam circuit, the action drama added another Rs. 2.15 crores share to its Nizam box-office tally, taking the two-day collections to Rs. 6.25 crores.

With the holiday season ahead, Jailer 2 needs to show bigger jumps to reach the safe zone, as the stakes involved are higher. Sun Pictures bankrolled the film, while Anirudh composed the tunes.
