The other day, Nag Ashwin revealed that the regular shoot of Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2 will most likely begin in September. The director has already completed the writing process, and the shooting is expected to progress at a faster pace.
According to the latest media reports, the makers of Kalki 2 are planning to come up with one-hour OTT films based on the major characters from the sci-fi mythological entertainer. It is said that these OTT films will be released before the movie’s arrival in theatres and will explore the backstories of the characters.
An animated mini-series featuring Bhairava (Prabhas) and Bujji (Keerthy Suresh) characters was already released as a prelude to Kalki 2898 AD in 2024. If the latest news turns out to be true, the hype surrounding the film will skyrocket.
Backed by Vyjayanthi Movies, the tentpole film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles. Deepika Padukone is reportedly being replaced by another actress in the sequel. Santosh Narayanan is composing the music.
