In 2020, a biopic was announced on Srilankan controversial cricketer Muthiah Muralidaran. Vijay Sethupathi was cast to play the lead but later dropped out of the film after receiving severe backlash from Tamilians.
To mark the cricketer’s birthday, the makers of his biopic have officially revealed the first look poster and motion poster of the film 800 The Movie. Madhurr Mittal is confirmed to play the lead actor. The team also announced that the movie will be released later this year in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Directed by MS Sripathy, the movie is being produced by Vivek Rangachari under Movie Train Motion Pictures. Ghibran is the music director for this flick, which has RD Rajasekhar’s cinematography and Praveen KL’s editing. The release date and other key details will be out soon.
