After facing a massive failure with Agent, Akhil Akkineni made a superb comeback with the rural action drama Lenin. The movie became the highest-grossing film of Akhil’s career and brought the actor back into the number game.
Lenin has completed its theatrical run and is now all set for its OTT debut. The box-office hit will be available for streaming from August 7. ZEE5 holds the post-theatrical streaming rights. The movie is expected to fetch strong viewership in the OTT space too. Bhagyashri Borse played the female lead.
Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film, set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema, also features Shivaji, Pramod Panju, Eeswari Rao, Sunil, Ramki, and Brahmaji in key roles. Lenin was produced by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios’ Manam Enterprises. Thaman composed the music.
