The weekdays hold of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s DC is on another level. The excellent word of mouth is driving the business, with the Telugu and Kerala markets overperforming.

Despite losing significant screens to the new release, Vishwanath And Sons, DC had an extraordinary hold yesterday, with occupancies witnessing a superb jump from Thursday. This puts the film firmly on track for a Rs. 100 crores finish. So far, the movie earned around Rs. 70 crores globally.

Before the release, none expected the film to perform at this level, but with its superb content and action sequences, DC continues to captivate the audience. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the film stars Wamiqa Gabbi as the female lead. Anirudh is the music composer.
