Sumanth-starrer Telugu socio-fantasy spiritual mystery Mahendragiri Varahi is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
Directed by Santhossh Jagarlapudi, the film has now cleared its censor formalities and received an U/A certificate from the CBFC. The runtime will be announced soon.
Set against the ancient backdrop of Mahendragiri, the film revolves around a mysterious generational curse linked to Goddess Varahi. According to the story, the male heirs of a royal lineage have been mysteriously dying at the age of 33, a tragedy that has continued for over 150 years.
With the deaths believed to be divine retribution, Sumanth’s character sets out to uncover the truth behind the ancient secret and put an end to the curse.
Meenakshi Goswami, Aishwarya Rajesh and Malavika Nair play key roles alongside Sumanth. Siddhu Jonnalagadda is also set to make a cameo appearance.
Produced by Kalipu Madhu and Surabhi Laxman Rao under Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films, the film has music by Anup Rubens.
