It’s well-known that Malayalam stalwart actor Mammootty is playing YSR in Yatra, the highly-anticipated biopic on former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Yatra’s shoot began on June 20 in Hyderabad.
On day one, Mammootty was given a memorable welcome by the makers of this prestigious biopic. Just as Mammootty entered the sets, a group of dancers began dancing to some of the iconic songs from Mammootty’s hit movies. Needless to say, the Mollywood Megastar was pleasantly surprised with the makers’ gesture.
Yatra’s entire shoot will be wrapped up in a long, single schedule which will last until September. Mahi V Raghav is directing the project, while Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy are bankrolling it under 70mm Entertainments banner.
