Ramayana is the most-awaited big-ticket film from Indian cinema this year. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the lead roles. The film is set to arrive during Diwali.

Many assumed that Ramayana would not face any major clash during the Diwali season. However, Nayanthara’s Rs. 100 crore-budget film Mookuthi Amman 2, the much-awaited sequel to the devotional family entertainer Mookuthi Amman, is very likely to arrive during the same timeframe.

If the news turns out to be true, Mookuthi Amman 2 is expected to provide strong competition to Ramayana in Tamil Nadu. Sundar C is directing the Nayanthara starrer, while Hiphop Tamizha is composing the music. Ishari K. Ganesh is producing the film.
