Nayanthara is coming up with another release just days after her latest outing, Toxic, hit theatres. While the Yash-starrer has received a mixed response from audiences, the actress is now set to appear in Hi, which is releasing tomorrow in Tamil and, surprisingly, Telugu as well.
The Telugu release has come as a surprise because the film has received no promotion in the Telugu states, leaving little awareness about the movie among local audiences. Meanwhile, Hi, starring Kavin alongside Nayanthara, has generated only average buzz in Tamil, where it is positioned as a romantic comedy.
Directed by Vishnu Edavan, Hi gives Nayanthara another opportunity to score a success just days after Toxic. It remains to be seen whether the film can make an impact at the box office despite the limited buzz, particularly in the Telugu states.
Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and others are part of the supporting cast. Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara and SS Lalit Kumar have produced the film.
