Suriya’s next theatrical outing, Vishwanath & Sons, is directed by Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri and stars Mamitha Baiju in a key female lead.

Ahead of the film’s theatrical release on August 14, 2026, Venky Atluri, in an interaction with Galatta Plus, clarified a long-standing misconception about the project.

Contrary to the widespread belief that Vishwanath & Sons was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu as a bilingual, the director revealed that the film was shot exclusively in Tamil and will be dubbed into Telugu.

The clarification confirms that Vishwanath & Sons is fundamentally a Tamil film, despite being backed by Telugu producers Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
