According to a report in Ormax Media, The Girlfriend was the most-watched film last week in India on OTT. Rashmika starrer garnered 2.5 million views last week (December 8-14), and dominated films like Dies Irae, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, and Kaantha to grab the top spot. The Girlfriend is indeed a smash hit in the digital space with its solid trending.
Dheekshith Shetty played the male lead, while Rao Ramesh, Anu Emmanuel, Rahul Ravindran, Rohini Molleti, and others essayed key roles. The film is produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banners of Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment.
