Ranveer Singh teamed up with debutant Jai Mehta for a zombie thriller titled Pralay. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the movie is being planned on a massive scale. Kalyani Priyadarshan will reportedly make her Bollywood debut with Pralay. According to an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, Pralay will go on floors in September 2026, with the major part of the shoot planned in Australia.
The report mentioned, “Ranveer has already begun preparations for the film and is totally in the world-building process. Ranveer will start shooting for the Jai Mehta directorial in the second half of 2026. The shoot is planned in Australia, and he has already kick-started prep. This is a film that requires intense physical and emotional preparation, given the scale and genre.”
The movie will reportedly be high on VFX, with a greater focus on visual detailing. The budget of Pralay is said to be Rs. 300 crores, which is much bigger than that of Dhurandhar. Ranveer has chosen to back such a huge-budget project as he has put his faith in the script.
