Star heroine Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2 is one of the most eagerly awaited films in Kollywood. The film is a sequel to the hit divine fantasy drama, Mookuthi Amman, which was released in 2020. While RJ Balaji directed the first film, Sundar C, the noted Tamil actor-director well known for the Aranmanai horror-comedy franchise, is directing the second installment.
According to the latest information, actress Regina Cassandra will play the antagonist in Mookuthi Amman 2. It is said that the director has designed a unique and powerful character with a never-seen-before look for Regina.
Senior Tamil producer Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh is bankrolling Mookuthi Amman 2 on a budget of over Rs. 100 crores under the Vels Film International banner. Reportedly, Jio Hotstar bought the post-theatrical streaming rights for a hefty price after watching the film.
