Talented actress raises funds for needy with her art work

Ever since the Coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent lockdown brought the whole nation to a standstill, several celebrities have come forward to donate to PM and CM relief fund in different states. Some have encouraged their fans to donate for other initiatives to help the migrant workers and the homeless, while several others donated money for a relief fund set up to help the daily wage workers in the film industry.

Interestingly, Sobhita Dhulipala, who has acted in films like Goodachari, took a different route to raise funds for the needy during this difficult times. The actress revealed that she’s going to auction a rug that she had designed, and all the money raised from it will be given to the Jaipur Rugs Foundation to help the migrant workers, who are facing economic hardships.

Sobhita also revealed the design of the rug is inspired from the chukkala muggu, that she learnt from her family while growing up in Vizag. Talking about choosing this design to create a rug, Sobhita said, “I am curious about my cultural roots and liked the idea of celebrating nostalgia through decor.”
