Expectations were sky-high for Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, marking Rocking Star Yash’s return to the big screen after four years. Despite mixed-to-negative audience feedback, the Geetu Mohandas directorial opened to a phenomenal response at the ticket windows.
Early estimates suggest that Toxic delivered around Rs. 120 crore gross in India on day 1, with more than 1.5 million tickets sold nationwide, underlining Yash’s massive box-office pull.
In North India alone, the South Indian film reportedly collected around Rs. 57 crore nett, surpassing Yash’s previous best with KGF 2 and ranking just behind Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.
The weekend is expected to remain strong with solid bookings, and the coming days will be crucial for Toxic. With such a massive opening already on the board, the film has a strong chance of posting a huge weekend total and adding more milestones to Yash’s career.
