Toxic is the next big film from Sandalwood, starring KGF star Yash. After several postponements, the movie is finally hitting the silver screens on August 26. Written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi in key roles.
Today, the makers launched the theatrical trailer at a grand event in Bangalore. The aspects that will take you by surprise while watching the trailer are its duration and the way it is designed. It is over four minutes long, and the promotional material doesn’t follow the regular tropes.
The tone and themes of the film are rightly conveyed through the visual aesthetics. Toxic deals with many things, starting from the battle for power, love, betrayal, peace in war, and boldness, but the father-son rivalry is at the center of it. There are multiple layers that Yash and team tried to present in the trailer to prepare the audience for what’s coming their way.
In one scene, Yash even appears naked, justifying the film’s tagline, “A fairy tale for the grownups.” The action sequences are mind-boggling, with the scale and action choreography in stunning form. One thing is for sure. Yash is coming up with content that is unconventional and unfiltered, and it remains to be seen how it will be received.
Toxic has been filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English and will be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The gangster action drama is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
