Trade talk: Ram Charan’s Game Changer to postpone; NTR’s Devara to prepone

The latest buzz among trade experts reveals that Ram Charan and Shankar’s political action drama Game Changer will not arrive in October 2024 as planned earlier. It is said that the shooting schedules are getting delayed, leading to a probable postponement. Shankar’s other film, Indian 2, is postponed to July from June.

Currently Shankar is busy putting the finishing touches to the Kamal Haasan starrer. Once the balance works are completed, he will allot a certain amount of time for the promotions of Indian 2. Hence, there is a lot of dilemma regarding the release date of Game Changer.

On the other hand, it is being speculated that NTR and Koratala Siva’s action drama Devara will arrive in theatres one or two weeks before the initial release date, October 5, 2024. The makers are targeting to complete the remaining shoot as early as possible, which places the team in an advantageous position to release the movie much in advance.

Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan and Shahid Kapoor’s Deva will be released during the Dussehra festive period. Hence, releasing Devara on October 5 would affect its box office prospects in Tamil and Hindi markets. Therefore, it will surely be a wise decision to prepone Devara.

There is solid anticipation among the audiences for Game Changer and Devara. The fact that they are the immediate releases of the star heroes after the mammoth blockbuster RRR makes these films very special. Let’s see how they will fare at the ticket windows.
