There are no noted releases from Telugu this week, and this is undoubtedly a big advantage for Vishal starrer Rathnam. Hari, who has a knack for delivering masala entertainers, directed this flick, which is set to hit the big screens this Friday. The makers promoted the movie quite well, too.
Rathnam completed its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate. The latest update is that the film’s runtime is locked at 156 minutes (2 hours and 36 minutes), which is decent for a mass entertainer. The Tamil and Telugu versions are being released simultaneously. We need to see if Rathnam can make an impact at the Tollywood box office.
Priya Bhavani Shankar played the female lead. Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, and Gautham Vasudev Menon essayed crucial roles. Produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banners of Zee Studios and Stonebench Films, the movie has the music by Devi Sri Prasad.
