Suriya’s family drama Vishwanath And Sons opened to good reviews from critics. The movie marked the first collaboration between Suriya and Venky Atluri, while Mamitha Baiju played the female lead.
As per trade estimates, Vishwanath And Sons earned around Rs. 33-34 crores gross on the opening day worldwide, making it Suriya’s second-biggest opener behind Kanguva. Today, the film is showing superb growth, and it should continue trending this way to reach the breakeven mark.
As reported earlier, Telugu states took a comfortable lead over Tamil Nadu in both occupancies and numbers. Produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, the film also features Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sunil Reddy, and Nassar in key roles. GV Prakash Kumar composed the tunes.
