The buzz surrounding Vivegam might be low in the two Telugu speaking states; however, it is a different story in Tamil Nadu. The film is expected to take an earth-shattering opening at the box-office and many have predicted that it might even surpass the earlier records set by Baahubali 2 in Chennai and other centres.
Couple of days ago, over 15000 tickets were sold out in Abhirami Multiplex, a popular multiplex in Chennai and the distributors were quite shocked to see tickets being sold like hot cakes. Not just that, the film will also see a record release in Kerala with over 1000 shows on the first day of its release.
Directed by Siva, the film stars Ajith, Kajal and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles. Anirudh has scored the music for this action thriller.
