Niharika Konidela opened up about the constant criticism she faces at the pre-release event of Raakaasaa, which is set to hit screens on April 3.
Reflecting on her journey as a producer, she said every decision of hers has been questioned. “When I made Committee Kurrollu, people asked why I was working with newcomers and inviting unnecessary headaches.
With Raakaasaa , they questioned why I chose a VFX-heavy horror comedy. And now, with my film with Varun Tej, they ask why I’m taking up a big project so early,” she shared.
Despite the criticism, Niharika remains firm. She said people often doubt her instincts and planning, but she is determined to keep moving forward.
“I won’t stop. I will continue doing what I believe in,” she stated confidently. Raakaasaa has Sangeet Sobhan and Nayan Sarika as the main leads.
Yadhu Vamsi, the director of Bhari, has come out strongly in support of Niharika Konidela and her capabilities as a producer.
Speaking at the Rakasa event, he revealed that a well-known industry figure once questioned whether someone like Niharika could handle big-budget films.
Responding confidently, Yadhu shared that he told the person Niharika is an army of her own. He pointed out that she invested nearly ₹7 crore on his debut film Committee Kurrollu, showcasing her commitment and belief in content.
He further added that Niharika has become a shining light for aspiring filmmakers like him, inspiring many who dream of making it big in the industry.
