Writer–director Vimal Krishna, who made a smashing debut with the 2022 blockbuster DJ Tillu, is now gearing up to deliver yet another eccentric comedy with Anumana Pakshi. Headlined by Rag Mayur and Merin Philip, the film is backed by Chilaka Productions with Rajiv Chilaka, Meghha Chilakka, Sneha Rajesh Jagtiani, Vihaan Dand, and Sricharan Marneni serving as the producers.
The team has begun musical promotions with a lively spark, unveiling the first single, Gulab Jam. Composer Sri Charan Pakala delivers a captivating mix of soothing traditional elements layered with lively, contemporary beats. Lyricist Kittu Vissapragada adds a playful touch with light, sugary lines that mirror the title while subtly reflecting the protagonist’s quirky charm.
Singer Ramana Gogula injects life into the track with his distinctive, high-energy voice, making the song instantly catchy and memorable. His vibrant rendition ensures Gulab Jam lingers long after it ends.
On the visual front, the song stands out with striking backdrops, from snow-covered landscapes to lush greenery, featuring Rag Mayur and Merin Philip. Their effortless chemistry, combined with the film’s playful tone, hints at a breezy, feel-good entertainer filled with humor.
The film features Prince Cecil, Anannayaa, Charith, Brahmaji, Raasi, Ajay, and Mast Ali in significant roles. The release date will be announced very soon.
Band Melam, starring the Court pair Harsh Roshan and Sridevi Appala, finally hit screens after multiple postponements. Backed by noted writer Kona Venkat, the film had decent expectations going in.
However, the romantic drama opened to disappointing word of mouth, which has clearly impacted its box office performance.
As per early reports, the film failed to even cross the ₹1 crore mark in the Telugu states on its opening day and struggled with poor occupancy in most centres.
With a weak start, all eyes are now on the weekend performance to see if Band Melam can show any improvement. Stay tuned for more updates.
