Nimisha Sajayan, widely recognised for The Great Indian Kitchen, is now part of the much anticipated sequel Tumbbad 2. The actress has been cast as the female lead and confirmed the news herself by sharing a “shoot begins” glimpse on Instagram.

The horror fantasy, which was announced long ago, has now officially gone on floors. Sohum Shah returns as the lead actor and producer, while Aadesh Prasad, who worked as co director and writer on the first film, is directing the sequel.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is another notable addition to the cast. The film is backed by Sohum Shah Films and Pen Studios, with more updates expected soon.
