This year, multiple films from Hindi cinema have received an A certificate from the censor board. The noted titles include Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Cocktail 2, O’ Romeo, Batwara 1947, Mirzapur: The Movie, and Bandar.

The upcoming two releases from the industry also received an adult-only tag. The movies in discussion are Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Daayra and Kunal Kemmu’s Vibe. While the former is a crime investigative thriller, the latter is a fun entertainer. The first one is understandable given the genre, but the second comes as a surprise.

Daayra, also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, was passed with an A rating and an approved runtime of 2 hours and 23 minutes. Meghna Gulzar of Raazi fame directed this thriller.

Vibe, on the other hand, also received an adults-only certificate with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. The film, directed and headlined by Kunal Kemmu, also stars Preity G Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Vanshika Dhir, Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua, and Yashpal Sharma.

Before Coolie, Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj planned to work on a superhero film, but the project was shelved later due to creative differences. It looks like Aamir is planning to make another superhero film, but with another director.

According to an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama, Aamir is currently holding discussions with Sajid Nadiadwala for an ambitious superhero film that will be directed by R. Balki. The director is known for films like Paa, Chup, and Padman. It is said that the project is currently at a nascent stage, with the scripting process actively underway.

If the final script shapes up well, Aamir might give his formal nod, as stated in the report. At the moment, Aamir Khan’s only confirmed project is Lalkaara, a period sports drama based on the historic 1952 India-Pakistan Test series. The film, set to be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, will go on floors later this year.
