Star actress Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly agreed to play the legendary singer MS Subbulakshmi on screen. Gowtham Tinnanuri of Jersey fame will direct this biographical film, and the project has generated anticipation even before its official announcement.

According to the latest reports, the film will have its grand launch ceremony on September 16, marking the 101st birth anniversary of the Carnatic singer. Currently, the project is in the pre-production stage.

The movie is expected to be produced by several top producers and will hit the big screens next year. As of now, Rashmika is also part of Ranabaali, Mysaa, and Raaka, which are in different stages of production.
